JUNGLE TRIP

3 day tour to Bukit Lawang and Tangkahan

For those on a tight schedule join us for an expedition highlighting the main attractions Gunung Leuser National Park. A 3 day, 2 night exclusive tour to Bukit Lawang and Tangkahan.
Visit the Orangutan feeding platform in Bukit Lawang and enjoy a 1-3 hour elephant trek through the jungle in Tangkahan. Help out with the elephant washing before returning by river tubing to the jungle lodge accommodation.
ITINERARY :
• Day One
Early morning pick up from Medan and private transportation to hotel accommodation in Bukit Lawang. Lunch and a short trek to the Orangutan feeding platform. Evening meal and over night stay.
• Day Two
Breakfast followed by 2 hour overland open top jeep ride from Bukit Lawang to Tangkahan. Relax at the jungle lodge accommodation. Lunch followed by a 1 or 2 hour elephant trek from Buluh River to the Conservation Response Unit (CRU) elephant camp to help out with the elephant washing. Possible to tube back to Buluh river, close to the jungle lodges. Evening meal and local entertainment.
• Day Three
Relaxing and swimming in pristine clean jungle river. Watch the elephants washing in the river. Barbeque lunch and overland jeep transport back to Bukit Lawang.

N.B: Itinerary may alter according to how long you wish to elephant trek for. 3 hour treks start at 11am and would need to be arranged for Day three. 1 or 2 hour elephant treks can take place on Day two. Other activities can be arranged in Tangkahan, such as, trekking, caving and river tubing.

Detail Itinerary

DAY 01 : MEDAN - BUKIT LAWANG (BUKIT LAWANG COTTAGE)
Arrival at Polonia Airport Medan drive to Bukit Lawang with stop at Crocodile farm, and several Plantation for Rubber and Palm oil arrival at Bukit Lawang check in to hotel.

DAY 02 : BUKIT LAWANGTRACKING LEUSER PARK. (OVERNIGHT TENT OR SHELTER) (B,L,D)
After breakfast at hotel then walking trough the bank of the river and crossing the river by traditional canoe and walking up the jungle to see the Orang Utan on the their feeding time. After feeding the Orang Utan tracking throuhg the Leuser National Park, walking around Leuser National Park is the time to experience many kind of flora and fauna as well enjoy the song of birds and Siamang "The Black Gibbon" and overnight in tent or shelter.

DAY 03 : CONTINUE TRACKING RETURN TO HOTEL (B,L)
After breakfast prepared by tour guide continue tracking, today is full day walking and explore the rain tropical forest with their wild life living in their natural habitat. Afternoon return to hotel.

DAY 04 : FULLDAY WHITE WATER RAFTING (B,L)
After breakfast drive by mini bus to Wampu river and arrival at starting point, starting your white water rafting adventure. During the rafting, the excellent opportunity to see the bird and wild life as white enjoying the two mild rapids. Arrival at waterfall at the bank of the river enjoying your shower and lunch will be provided afternoon arrival at the point stop enjoying coffee break before driving back to hotel.

DAY 05 : BUKIT LAWANG - BRASTAGI ( Brastagi Cottage) (B)
After breakfast drive back to Medan and continue drive to Brastagi on the way stop at Sikupikap hot spring, arrival at Brastagi visit Batak Karo traditional village at Peceren, fruitmarket, Gundaling Hill and afternoon check in to hotel.

DAY 06 : SIBAYAK VOLCANO CLIMBING - MEDAN (BEST WESTERN ASEAN HOTEL) (B,L)
After early breakfast drive to the slope of Sibayak Vulcano and then start climbing to Sibayak Volcano, where approximately at noon arrival on the top of Sibayak, after take a rest and enjoy it the view, start tracking back to Brastagu via different route where you will arrive at Lau Debuk-Debuk hot spring and you can enjoy swimming on the hot spring pool and then drive back to Medan, arrival at Medan check in to hotel.

DAY 07 : HOTEL - AIRPORT (B)
After breakfast transfer to Airport for your flight to next destination.
